The Hilb Group (THG) has announced the acquisition of Rhode Island-based Damiano Agency (DA). The transaction was effective July 01.
DA provides property and casualty insurance products for businesses and individuals in the Rhode Island area. Agency leader Paul Damiano and his employees will join THG’s existing Providence, RI, location. The acquisition adds property and casualty expertise to THG’s New England operations, the company said.
The acquisition is the latest in Virginia-headquartered THG’s ongoing expansion. Earlier this month, the company announced the acquisition of Pennsylvania-based Greenwald Berk Agency and Vermont-based Jamieson Insurance Agency. In June, the company announced the acquisition of Delaware-headquartered Pfister Insurance.
