The Hilb Group (THG) has acquired Jamieson Insurance Agency (JIA) in Vermont; the transaction became effective July 01, 2019.
JIA is a P&C insurance agency that primarily provides business, auto, and home insurance to clients throughout the state of Vermont.
A company release said that Jon Jamieson, the agency leader of JIA, will continue to lead the team out of its three offices in Richmond, Waitsfield, and Waterbury.
“Since 1977, JIA has been a family run business focused on high-quality service and commitment to our community,” commented Jon Jamieson.
Jamieson also said that, just like his agency, THG possesses “like-minded values and a similar approach to service.” He hopes that through the acquisition, his agency can tap into THG’s vast resources while maintaining local management.
“The client experience and culture that Jon and his family have built is a perfect match for THG,” remarked THG CEO Ricky Spiro. “We are extremely pleased to further increase our New England footprint and welcome Jon and his associates to our growing THG team.”
