Three individuals have been indicted for insurance fraud after attempting to file a false claim following a car crash earlier this year in Onslow County, North Carolina.
Anthony Bowen, Tracey Bowen, and Kevin Reynolds have each been accused in connection to the purported incident, according to a North Carolina Department of Insurance news release. The Bowens are from Jacksonville, Reynolds from Durham.
According to criminal investigators with the Department of Insurance, all three are charged with conspiring to seek fraudulent payment from
Farmers Home Insurance Company through creating false statements after a car crash April 27.
Both Anthony Bowen and Reynolds supposedly claimed that the latter was behind the wheel during the time of the accident. Investigators, however, allege that it was Bowen who was driving. Both are accused of claiming they were injured as a result of the accident, but investigators refute this.
