USI Insurance takes over Florida insurance firm

The New York-based company is expanding its footprint in the Southeast, where it continues to invest heavily

USI Insurance Services has announced that is has acquired Tamarac-based Best Insurance.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Best Insurance provides a suite of personal insurance products such as homeowners, automobile, motorcycle, boat and watercraft insurance coverage. The firm serves customers in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.

USI Southeast regional chief executive officer James W. Dunn stated that Best Insurance will strengthen USI’s presence in the Southeast, where it will continue to heavily invest in.

Best Insurance President Barry R. Sokoloff remarked that Best Insurance’s clients will now be able to access an expanded selection of property-casualty, personal risk, employee benefits and retirement products and services from a major national company.
