World Insurance Associates LLC (WIA) has announced the appointment of Renae Flanders (pictured) as its new chief financial officer.

Rich Eknoian, the chief executive officer of WIA, said that Flanders’ addition to the firm will aid WIA’s further growth through her knowledge and expertise in the industry.

“We are thrilled to have a leader like Renae join the team and it is a testament to our ability to attract the industry's best talent,” said Eknoian.

Who is Renae Flanders?

With 30 years of experience in executive financial management, Flanders she began her career as senior accountant in Johnson & Higgins, which is now known as Marsh Inc.

According to her LinkedIn, she later worked for Aon for a total of 24 years in several roles including as director of finance, managing director of finance – client profitability and segmentation, chief financial officer, deputy regional managing director – East and Greater NY regions, and chief operation officer – construction services group.

Recently, Flanders has served as CFO/COO and interim CEO as well as a board member with Private Health Management. She is a Certified Public Accountant and received her MBA from St. Joseph’s University. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration and economics at the University of Pittsburgh.

Speaking on her appointment, Flanders expressed her delight in joining the firm as it is on the verge of growth and innovation.

“I look forward to partnering with the World team to build on our significant market momentum and revenue growth, while simultaneously expanding margins, managing risk and delivering on our capital allocation strategy,” said Flanders.

Flanders took on her role on April 1 and will be based out of Iselin, New Jersey.
