A division of Worldwide Facilities, Trinity Underwriting Managers (TUMI), is hiring two new members for its team.

Bill Acevedo has been hired for the newly-created role of claims manager, while Nick Blankenship has been brought in to serve as a broker.

Acevedo has over 30 years of experience, having held positions at York Risk Services, Crum & Forster, The Home Insurance Company, and Zurich American Insurance Group. He is a former Marine, and has CPCU, AIC, AIS, and SCLA designations.

“My goal is to establish a bridge between our exceptional underwriting team and the claims professionals with whom we work on a daily basis,” said Acevedo. “I also look forward to working directly with our TPA partners to provide input and oversight, and to ensure the most favorable outcomes possible.”

Blankenship was previously a senior underwriter for ProSight Specialty Insurance, where he managed a portfolio of transportation and public auto risk. Before that, he was an underwriter for State Auto Insurance’s transportation practice group. Also a former Marine, he possesses an Associate in Underwriting designation from the Insurance Institute of America.

“I look forward to growing our brokerage business by expanding distribution and carrier relationships,” Blankenship commented. “My hope is to grow TUMI’s marketplace presence by strengthening current relationships and establishing new ones.”

“We are extremely confident that both of our new hires will produce exceptional results,” said TUMI executive vice-president Stephen Standing in a statement. “We look forward to the contributions that they will make to our team.”
