Independent insurance underwriting and wholesale brokerage group XS Brokers (XSB) has bolstered its presence in the Southeast region with the expansion of its Atlanta office, and has additionally hired four more members to its growing team.

XSB has hired Brent Johnson to serve as vice president, and Carrie Sheen as assistant vice president, CIC. Johnson has more than 15 years of experience in the insurance industry, most recently serving as an associate managing director at Burns & Wilcox. Sheen, who has over 20 years of industry experience, also came from Burns & Wilcox, where she served as director of commercial underwriting.

The brokerage has also appointed Patrick Siwick to the role of casualty broker and Griffin Jennings as underwriter. Siwick was last serving as a casualty underwriter at IFG Companies and Jennings was most recently a commercial lines underwriter at Burns & Wilcox.

"At XS Brokers, we pride ourselves on developing solid relationships based on our responsiveness and expertise," remarked XSB executive vice-president Jim Epting.

Epting added that both Brent and Carrie will be instrumental in XSB’s growth in Georgia and the Southeast states by growing and maintaining the company’s brand presence among retail agents.
