Climate adaptation tech and consulting company Coastal Risk Consulting has announced that it has enhanced the features on its website.

The company’s website, floodscores.com, allows users to determine an individual property’s risk of flooding. Coastal Risk’s "Flood and Climate Risk Assessment" report identifies and gauges vulnerability to flooding from torrential rains, storms, tidal surges, river flooding, hurricanes, and future sea level rise, a release said.

The online report can also help identify tsunami risk for coastal properties located in California and Hawaii.

Coastal Risk said that its website helps "investors, developers, insurers, commercial real estate asset managers, homebuyers, government agencies, critical infrastructure, and other clients make optimal decisions to buy, sell, insure and protect valuable real estate and obtain the best flood insurance rates."

On top of its online risk assessment service, the company can provide customized flood risk analysis and recommends solutions for multiple real estate parcels, large industrial sites, entire neighborhoods, and even properties outside of the US.

The start-up also has strategic partnerships in engineering, flood barrier systems, construction and insurance, so that users can easily locate flood protection and prevention solutions after finding that their properties are at high risk.
