Amwins Connect has announced a new partnership with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, allowing the company to expand its medical offerings after five months of operations in Georgia.

Amwins Connect president Adam Mathis (pictured, right) also expressed his excitement about the partnership.
“With a long history of servicing brokers, we look forward to presenting Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield solutions to our brokers and their clients in Georgia,” he said.
Mathis highlighted that their primary goal is to provide the most comprehensive suite of products and services available in all the marketplaces that the company serves.
Recently, Amwins also announced its acquisition of Kilpatrick Companies, the Houston-based benefits general agency that specializes in employee and individual benefits.
Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Amwins is a sales, marketing, and service company, focusing on helping health insurance brokers, carriers, and partners to expand their business. It has operations all across the United States and overseas, with more than 155 offices globally.
The company is considered one of the biggest independent wholesale distributors of specialty insurance products in the US, providing retail insurance agents property and casualty products, specialty group benefit products, and administrative services.
Meanwhile, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield is the trade name of Blue Cross Blue Shield Healthcare Plan of Georgia, Inc., an independent licensee of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, that provides various health plans including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, Medicare, life insurance, disability insurance, and Medicaid.
