A division of DUAL Commercial, EIURS, is expanding its energy division with the addition of a marine energy unit.

The new unit will be headed by industry veteran Michael Jacobs.

According to a release, the marine energy unit will focus on the underserved middle market segment.  The liability lines offered by the unit include marine general liability, ship repairs, terminal operators, stevedores, wharfingers, bumbershoot (up to $5 million capacity), marine employers liability, hull, and P&I.

EIURS will be writing on behalf of an A XV carrier. The program is available nationwide and is dedicated to wholesalers.

“DUAL is highly committed to the expansion of its energy division and we feel the marine energy unit is a natural fit to its current success,” said DUAL Commercial CEO Jon Beckham. “As the markets fights for share and rate, we believe expanding into a sector that is under served, allows us the opportunity to gain share and establish rate before others jump in.  We are excited to have Mike Jacobs lead the team and look forward to the continued growth of the energy division.”
