World Insurance Associates has expanded its presence in New York through the acquisition of C&A Insurance Agency, a firm known for serving multicultural communities across the region
The deal brings into World a firm that has served individual, family, and business clients in both New York and New Jersey since 1985. Terms of the transaction were not made public.
C&A’s announcement put particular focus on the agency’s longstanding work with Chinese, Cambodian, and Vietnamese clients, as well as its multilingual service model.
"Founded by immigrants, our agency was built on a deep understanding of diverse cultures and communities. We proudly serve clients in multiple languages and have become a trusted insurance partner for the Chinese, Cambodian and Vietnamese communities by combining industry knowledge with cultural awareness and clear communication. We are excited to continue to serve our clients as part of World,” said Robert Luong, president of C&A Insurance Agency.
For World, the acquisition adds a firm with established ties in those communities and supports its broader growth in New York City. World is ranked among the Top 50 insurance brokerages.
"I'd like to extend a warm welcome to Robert and C&A Insurance Agency. This acquisition will provide World with the ability to continue growing within the Chinese, Cambodian and Vietnamese communities in New York City. I look forward to C&A's continued success,” said Rich Eknoian, CEO and co-founder of World.
The companies also named the firms that worked on the transaction. Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla acted as legal counsel to World. Satin and Lee Law P.C. served as legal counsel to C&A, while Sica Fletcher advised the agency. No other advisers, diligence firms, or legal counsel were disclosed.
