Brown & Brown has named Stephen Boyd senior vice-president of technology, innovation, and digital strategy.
Boyd will work closely with business leaders within Brown & Brown’s four business segments to develop “technology roadmaps,” which will drive the development of innovative insurance products and solutions, a release said. He will report to Brown & Brown president and CEO Powell Brown in his new role. Boyd was previously the president and chief operating officer of Arrowhead General Insurance Agency, and was a senior leader in Brown & Brown’s National Programs Segment.
“I am excited to have Steve leading the team responsible for driving Brown & Brown’s ongoing digital transformation,” said Powell Brown.
Brown also recognized Boyd’s capabilities as an operator and a former CIO, making him the ‘perfect choice’ to lead Brown & Brown’s efforts in technology.
“He has been a key driver of the company’s innovation agenda for the last few years, and he brings the necessary blend of strategic vision and business acumen to advance our data and technology strategies,” the chief executive added.
