Specialist professional services and technology firm Davies has announced the appointment of Matt Button (pictured) as CEO of its US Claims Solutions business. Button, currently Davies’s global head of M&A, has been running the company’s US claims operations on an interim basis since October.

He has focused on driving organic and M&A growth in what is a priority strategic market for the group. Davies announced its first major US claims deals last year, adding third-party administration (TPA) and field-adjusting capability through the acquisitions of field claims adjusting business Frontier and ASC, a workers’ compensation, property and casualty TPA.

Button will relocate from London to Davies’s US headquarters in Nashville. He will continue to report to Dan Saulter, Davies Group CEO, and will retain responsibility for global M&A in addition to his new duties.

Button joined Davies in 2015 from Towergate, where he held senior roles in M&A and finance. A chartered accountant, he began his career at BDO, working in both the UK and New York.

“I am delighted that Matt will be stepping up to this important role for us as we increase our efforts and investment to build our claims solutions business in the US,” Saulter said. “I am extremely proud of our track record of creating opportunities for career development with Davies. We have ambitious growth plans for Davies in North America, and Matt has a strong team around him to help us deliver on those goals.”

“Having led the claims business in the US on an interim basis, I am thrilled to have been given the opportunity to take on the role permanently,” Button said. “I look forward to continuing to work with the team to create a compelling proposition for our clients and to establish Davies as a leading provider of claims solutions in North America.”
