Just give the command, and this insurer will be in your home.

Major insurer Progressive has shown just how progressive the company can be by being the first on Google Home’s voice activated Assistant service.

A PRNewswire report said that the company will provide auto and home insurance tips through the service, with the command, “Google, let me talk to Progressive.” Users can ask questions on topics including buying cars and auto insurance, scouting for property, as well as smart home technologies.

“While most people don’t think about insurance much, when they do have a question, Progressive wants to make it as easy as possible for them to get help by being available where, when and how they want to interact with us,” Dan Witalec, Progressive customer acquisition leader, said in the report.

“When we realized the popularity of voice-activated assistants like Google Home, we wanted to work with Google to be helpful. We’ve got some nice content to start, but we’ll also monitor the types of questions Google Home customers ask us and make adjustments as needed.”

Google Home is a voice activated wireless speaker that enables the control of music streaming, connected appliances and basic information like calendar appointments and weather through the Google Assistant software.
