GloveBox – the developer of a mobile app that allows consumers to access insurance documents – has announced a partnership with independent agency Safeco Insurance, a Liberty Mutual company.
Under the partnership, Safeco’s clients will be able to use GloveBox to conveniently view their insurance documents on their smartphones. Also through the partnership, both companies will exchange proprietary information to “further solidify the ability for policyholders to have an enhanced and functional insurance experience,” a release explained.
The “working relationship” comes as GloveBox enters its second phase of development. The developer hopes to introduce more functionality to its app by including a portal for features such as a claims concierge and bill pay.
“The ability to work with such a highly touted carrier on this next stage of our evolution will ensure that we are maximizing the ease and clarity for the consumer,” said GloveBox CEO Ryan Mathisen. “Not only will this provide an expedited service for Safeco clients, but it will demonstrate the trust that we are seeking with other carriers in the P&C market.”
GloveBox is now engaging in conversations with other insurance brands who might be interested in participating in the app’s digital insurance document experience.
Mathisen additionally commented that this call for collaboration is all in hopes of maximizing the potential of a “uniquely aggregated technology that has never been seen before.”
“Giving agency partners a truly beneficial resource that is applicable to today's demands of running an agency while providing policy holders with what is commonly referred to as a 'no brainer' for everyday interaction with their insurance,” the chief executive remarked. “Our initial carriers are going to set the stage on what this innovation should look and feel like.”
GloveBox’s second phase of development will take place over the coming months; no set release date has been announced yet.
