Regional CEO for Asia
David Jacob, a 30-year industry veteran, has been leading Marsh Asia as regional CEO since September 2016. He embarked on a career in insurance in 1990 with Marsh in New York, where he worked in the multinational practice looking after risk management programs of Fortune 100 companies as they expand overseas. Jacob then moved to Marsh Philippines in 1996 where he ran business development before eventually being appointed as CEO in 1999. After five years, he transferred to Marsh Hong Kong as CEO – a position he held until 2014. Most recently, Jacob held a dual role as head of sales for Asia Pacific and head of specialties for Asia, from 2014 to 2016. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Arizona.
