Canadian financial services co-operative Co-operators has joined forces with Kampgrounds of America (KOA), the network of more than 500 campgrounds in the US and Canada, for a recreational vehicle (RV) insurance proposition.

Lifting the lid on the tie-up, KOA senior vice president of marketing Diane Eichler said: “Canadians represent a significant demographic of Kampgrounds of America campers both in Canada and in the United States.

“Co-operators shares our commitment to meeting the needs of outdoor enthusiasts, empowering Canadians to spend more time outdoors with confidence. We are delighted to enhance the experience for Canadian campers through this partnership.”

Co-operators’ RV insurance provides affordable and dependable coverage for a variety of outdoor vehicles, such as trailers, campers, motorhomes, motorcycles, dirt bikes, all-terrain vehicles, and snowmobiles. The offering is available as a standalone RV coverage or as an expansion of either a home or auto insurance policy.

The collaboration with KOA marks Co-operators as the first to deliver a comprehensive suite of RV products to a national audience through an online platform.

“We are thrilled to embark on this exciting partnership with Kampgrounds of America, bringing financial security to the outdoor enthusiast community in Canada,” George Hardy, vice president of strategic initiatives at Co-operators, said.

“This relationship marks not only a significant milestone in Co-operators’ strategic vision for recreation vehicles, but also demonstrates our commitment to providing comprehensive coverage tailored to the diverse needs of campers nationwide.

“Together we look forward to enhancing the camping experience and ensuring peace of mind for all our valued clients.”

Serving Canadians since 1945, Co-operators offers multi-line insurance and investment products, services, and personalized advice. The co-operative has more than $64 billion in assets under administration.
