Godefroy de Colombe is taking on the role of global chief operating officer (GCOO) at AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) come January 16.

The SCOR alumnus, who became part of the AXA family in 2008, will oversee AXA IM’s operations, IT, data, digital, innovation, security, and risk and compliance as well as trading operations while based in Paris. He will report to AXA IM executive chairman Gérald Harlin.     

“Godefroy has a deep understanding of how COO functions bring value to the business,” commented Harlin. “Godefroy’s recognized leadership skills, drive and energy, business acumen, knowledge of AXA as well as strong people focus will be great additions to AXA IM.”

The incoming GCOO, whose career began in 1998 at the Treasury Department in Moscow, most recently served as chief executive of AXA’s property and casualty e-insurance business Direct Assurance. His previous roles include head of retail lines at AXA Global P&C and CEO of AXA Direct Solutions.
