The company’s chief executive, Doug Trapp, will join Hub Manitoba and report to its president Keith Jordan as part of the move, a Business Wire report said.

The acquisition is part of a broader mergers and acquisitions strategy by Hub to expand its geographic footprint and strengthen the firm’s industry and product expertise.

Jordan said that Hub was excited to expand its geographic footprint into south eastern Saskatchewan.

“The Mainline partners have built a tremendous organization of insurance professionals and experts,” he continued. “The partners of Mainline have been community focused, and developed great relationships that Hub will continue to grow.”

Meanwhile, Trapp commented, “As part of Hub, we’ll draw upon the resources and expertise of an international insurance brokerage while retaining our commitment to local client and community service.”

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
