iA Financial Group has appointed François Blais as president of iA Auto and Home Insurance and Prysm General Insurance.
A release said that this appointment adds to Blais’s current role as chief operating officer of iA Auto and Home Insurance and Prysm General Insurance. He and his team will report to iA Financial Group senior vice-president of dealer services Sean O’Brien.
Blais first joined iA Auto and Home Insurance in 2004, serving various positions in the actuarial department such as vice-president. He later became the company’s appointed actuary from 2014 to 2016. In May 2017, he was named iA Financial Group’s vice-president and chief data and analytics officer. Blais returned to iA Auto and Home Insurance in November 2018, filling in the role of chief operating officer.
Late last month, iA Financial promoted Michael L. Stickney to the role of executive vice-president and chief growth officer. Most recently serving as executive vice-president of the company’s US development, Stickney’s new duties involve supporting iA Financial’s growth strategies, whether organically or via acquisitions.
