Petplan has officially rebranded itself as Fetch by The Dodo, following the company’s partnership with the online animal platform The Dodo.
A release said that the rebrand combines Fetch’s “superior coverage” with the “brand strength and massive community” of The Dodo – an online brand with a global audience of 100 million social followers. Fetch offers comprehensive pet insurance coverage for both dogs and cats, underwritten by both XL Specialty Insurance and AXIS Insurance’s branches in the US and Canada.
"Pet insurance has traditionally focused on the bad days," said Fetch by The Dodo president and CEO Paul Guyardo. "Our focus is to ensure that pets and their parents enjoy more good days together, as well as providing peace of mind with the best coverage in the industry."

"This partnership makes sense for many reasons but the most important is that both companies are committed to deepening the human-pet connection and bettering animals' lives."
Last year, AXIS Insurance – the specialty insurance segment of AXIS Capital Holdings – partnered with Fetch (then called Petplan) to launch insurance coverage in both the US and Canada. Fetch served as managing general underwriter providing capacity for the coverage.
