The Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO) has issued a release, warning consumers about an unregistered broker in the province.
RIBO reported that Hidden Ace Brokerage is not a registered brokerage or licensed member of RIBO. As a result, Hidden Ace Brokerage is not authorized to sell auto, property, or casualty insurance to the public in Ontario.
The group urged consumers to exercise caution and to ensure that they are dealing with a broker registered with RIBO when shopping for any auto, homeowners, tenants, or commercial insurance coverage.
RIBO, established in 1981, is the self-regulatory body for insurance brokers in Ontario. It regulates the licensing, professional competence, ethical conduct, and insurance related financial obligations of all independent general insurance brokers in the province.
