The Co-operators, together with Aldergrove Credit Union, announced yesterday that both organizations have entered into a strategic alliance, allowing Aldergrove to offer The Co-operators’ insurance products and services.

The partnership will enable Aldergrove Insurance Services, the credit union’s insurance subsidiary, to offer The Co-operators’ insurance coverage to clients in Aldergrove, Abbotsford, Langley and Mission, British Columbia.

Aldergrove Insurance will contact its clients to discuss how the partnership will help them with their insurance needs.

According to a release, the existing coverage of Aldergrove Insurance’s clients will remain in effect with no changes to the premiums or coverage for the current term of their policies. Those clients with policies about to expire will be offered comparable policies from The Co-operators.

“Aldergrove Credit Union is a natural fit for us as we share common values, and are both committed to supporting the communities in which we do business,” said The Co-operators president and CEO Rob Wesseling. “We look forward to a successful alliance, which showcases how co-operative organizations can work together to better serve their members.”
