Vailo Insurance Services (Vailo)has expanded its specialty division, adding in-house authorizations for professional liability, management liability, and contractors' pollution liability.

The new offerings were designed to provide comprehensive coverage to regional and national businesses.

Vailo is an independent managing general agent (MGA) in Canada that provides underwriting solutions to broker networks in Canada and offered commercial insurance solutions across standard and non-standard lines.

“The Specialty Division expansion is a strategic response to the growing and evolving needs of our broker partners,” said Jeff Hart, president and CEO at Vailo.

“While this methodology was once widespread in the insurance industry, we've noticed an increasing number of markets shifting towards a class-based underwriting approach, leading to a challenging experience for brokers and insurers alike,” said Devin Brown, AVP specialty at Vailo.

Brown joined Vailo in May 2023 and has been expanding the insurer’s specialty underwriting authorities.
