Westland Insurance Group will be supporting a charity in Calgary as part of its 40th anniversary celebrations.

The British Columbia-based insurance group is celebrating its anniversary with a unique “40 Weeks of Giving” campaign, according to Calgary Herald report. The campaign will see the company support a different community charity every week for 40 weeks.

One of the charities that Westland is supporting is the Calgary chapter of the Canadian Mental Health Association – specifically the chapter’s winter collection drive for its street outreach and stabilization program, which provides homeless individuals with warm clothing for the upcoming winter season.

Westland’s anniversary campaign follows the significant expansion of its operations in Alberta, with the addition of four brokerages into its network: Johnson Agencies in Leduc, Hedderick Insurance Agencies in Pincher Creek, Ironside Insurance Brokers in Carstairs, and G&E Insurance in Picture Butte.

“These are all client-focused agencies with deep roots in their communities, and they are perfectly aligned to Westland’s core values,” Jason Wubs, chief executive officer of Westland Insurance Group, told the Calgary Herald. “Their professional advisors will continue to provide the same great service, and we are excited to welcome our new team members to the Westland family.”
