Westland Insurance Group has closed four acquisitions – acquisitions which support the company’s expansion strategy to serve more communities across Canada, particularly in western Canada.

The four acquired brokerages are King Insurance in Winnipeg, MB; Johnson Agencies in Leduc, AB; Hedderick Insurance Agencies in Pincher Creek, AB; and Nauroth & Associates in Prince George, BC.

Details on the four acquired brokerages are as follows:

• King Insurance, founded in 1962, is a family-owned brokerage with professional insurance advisors specializing in residential, auto, business, life, and disability insurance.
• Johnson Agencies has been in business since 1967. The firm offer residential, auto, recreation, commercial, farm, travel, and life insurance.
• Hedderick Insurance Agencies has been serving clients since 1949. The brokerage provides residential, commercial, recreation, farm and auto insurance.
• For more than 25 years, the insurance advisors of the family-owned Nauroth & Associates have been providing their local community with auto, residential, commercial, travel and life insurance.

All together, the acquisitions add four branches and over 30 employees across three provinces to Westland Insurance. The company will have nearly 1,500 employees and over 120 offices in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
