“2020 was a challenging year for the industry,” said Consumer Intelligence chief executive Ian Hughes. “However, some brands really stepped up during what was and continues to be a very dark time for their customers. As a result, we’ve seen a real shift in the brands that have won this year.”

It was noted that the latest list includes not only the old-timers but new entrants and returning brands as well.

Meanwhile, the CEO stressed: “It’s not easy to win one of our awards – you can’t just complete an entry form or write a submission. To win an award, you have to be a winner in the eyes of your customers.”

The awards are based on Consumer Intelligence’s annual survey of more than 48,000 home and motor insurance policyholders.

“Dedication, consistency, and a successful customer strategy are key ingredients for winning one of our awards,” Hughes went on to state. “Whether you’re an insurer, broker, or affinity partner, our awards recognise brands that deliver an excellent customer experience throughout their organisation.”
