Zurich bolsters UK broker distribution team

It looks like Zurich is serious about its general insurance regional broking efforts in the UK.

Matt Perkin, who came onboard the insurer in 2011 and most recently served as strategic assistant to UK chief executive Tulsi Naidu, has been promoted to head of broker market for the Midlands, Southwest, and Wales.

Meanwhile Michelle Taylor joins Zurich as head of broker market for the Southeast. She brings nearly three decades of industry experience from Aviva, ERS, and RSA to the role.

“Our broker distribution team goes from strength to strength – Michelle and Matt really underpin our commitment to regional broking, and have focused and dedicated people on the ground up and down the country,” said broker market distribution head James Roberts.

“Between them and their respective teams they have Wales, the Midlands, and southern England covered, and have the framework and links to make sure our broker partners get the very best partnership and access to our underwriting expertise that they need.”
