Alliant Insurance Services has announced the addition of Megan Hood and John Smith to its Employee Benefits Group, as the company continues to expand its capabilities in delivering strategic benefits solutions.
Hood has joined as vice president and will be based in San Francisco, where she will focus on providing services to mid-sized and large technology employers in Northern California and nationwide. She brings significant experience in employee engagement, health and wellness program management, and benefits strategy. Before joining Alliant, she served as director of Health & Benefits at a global consulting firm.
Meanwhile, Smith has been appointed assistant vice president and will operate out of North Carolina, where he will serve clients across the Southeast. He has over 20 years of experience in sales, consulting, and risk management, primarily within the middle market. Smith previously worked as a client executive at a North Carolina-based consulting firm.
These recent appointments come on the heels of several strategic hires at Alliant. Adrienne Johnson, who was appointed vice president in the Employee Benefits Group, brings 20 years of experience in healthcare cost management and population health strategies. She serves clients in the Southeast and across the country.
In its mergers & acquisitions (M&A) division, Alliant has also made significant leadership changes. Mark Rusas joined as executive vice president and managing director, co-leading the M&A practice with Jonathan Gilbert and Daniel Schoenberg.
Peter Miraglia had also been appointed executive vice president and will focus on enhancing client services in complex deal structures, bringing expertise in risk management and transactional insurance.
Additionally, Bradley Cassidy has joined Alliant Americas as vice president, focusing on property and casualty insurance solutions for businesses across the US. Cassidy has over 10 years of experience in the insurance industry.
