Alacrity Solutions has promoted Lee Boyd (pictured) to chief operating officer, giving him oversight of operational strategy across the company's full range of claims management and business services.
Boyd will work with Alacrity's executive leadership team to drive efficiency, scale technology initiatives and support the company's longer-term strategic direction. CEO John Hall credited Boyd's track record directly: "Lee has spent his career proving he can lead through complexity and deliver results. His work on the Alacrity Intelligence Initiative alone shows the kind of forward-thinking leadership we need as chief operating officer."
Boyd joined Alacrity in 2021 as vice president of TPA operations and was subsequently promoted to president of claims operations, the role from which he now moves up.
Two initiatives defined Boyd's tenure as president of claims operations and both are directly relevant to where Alacrity is heading.
The first was the Alacrity Intelligence Initiative, unveiled publicly in March 2026 around the PLRB Claims Conference. The initiative introduced AI-enabled tooling across Alacrity's claims workflows, connecting claims data, adjuster expertise and operational monitoring to help carriers manage volume with more consistency - particularly during catastrophe surge events, where claims frequency spikes and adjuster capacity is stretched. Boyd described the goal at the time as helping claims organizations manage growing complexity without simply adding headcount, pairing experienced adjusters with operational data to identify patterns earlier and produce more predictable outcomes.
The second was Alacrity's expansion into the Lloyd's market, where the company became an approved Lloyd's delegated claims administrator, authorizing it to handle US property, auto, casualty, catastrophe and specialty claims on behalf of Lloyd's insurers and managing agents under delegated authority. Boyd led that expansion and was its public face at launch, noting at the time that Lloyd's carriers placing US risk needed claims partners capable of meeting London market oversight and reporting standards - a different bar from domestic TPA work.
For carriers and MGAs that rely on Alacrity for claims management, the COO appointment has two practical implications.
The AI-enabled claims approach Boyd built in the claims operations role is now in the hands of the executive responsible for the entire business rather than claims specifically. That creates a direct line from the Alacrity Intelligence Initiative - which was built and piloted within claims - to Alacrity's other service lines, including subrogation and recovery, temporary housing and specialty claims management. Carriers that have seen the AI-driven approach applied to property and catastrophe claims handling should expect it to extend across those adjacent services as Boyd applies the same operating philosophy at an enterprise level.
The Lloyd's delegated authority expansion similarly moves from a claims-specific initiative into the company's broader strategic orbit. For MGAs and Lloyd's coverholders that use Alacrity for US claims handling, Boyd's elevation is a signal that the company's London market capabilities are a strategic priority at the top of the organization, not a specialist add-on managed within one division.
Carriers and MGAs evaluating Alacrity for new programs - particularly those with complex or multi-line US claims exposure that needs to meet London market reporting standards - should expect those conversations to reflect both the AI operational layer and the Lloyd's-grade oversight framework as integrated rather than separate offerings.
