Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has appointed Brian Robb as senior vice president, head of cyber/miscellaneous professional liability (MPL)/tech in the US.

Robb joins BHSI from CNA Insurance, where he spent 11 years of his career. He most recently served as CNA’s product leader, cyber/media/MPL/tech E&O. Prior to that, he held other positions at CNA, including cyber industry leader and senior claim counsel for global cyber and technology claims.

He has a master’s degree from City University of New York-Baruch College, Zicklin School of Business, and a law degree from Brooklyn Law School. Robb earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

“We are pleased to welcome Brian to lead our cyber, miscellaneous professional liability & technology E&O team in the US,” said BHSI head of executive & professional lines, North America Anthony Tatulli. “His expertise adds fuel to our efforts to expand our portfolios and deliver the sound, stable solutions customers are seeking now and for the long-term.”

Last month, BHSI named Keith Freid as product line officer for private & non-profit management liability insurance in North America. Freid arrived from AIG, where he was head of private and non-profit management liability.

Both Robb and Freid are based in BHSI’s New York location.
