Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has appointed Keith Freid as product line officer for private & non-profit management liability insurance in North America.

As part of his role as product line officer, Freid will be based in New York.

Freid brings with him nearly 30 years of industry experience, in both D&O underwriting and claims. He joins BHSI from AIG, where he most recently served as head of private and non-profit management liability. Before that, he was senior vice president and chief underwriting officer of private and non-profit management liability at AIG. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Washington University in St. Louis.

“We are pleased to welcome Keith to our executive & professional lines leadership team,” said BHSI head of executive & professional lines Anthony Tatulli.

Tatulli added that Freid will be an “invaluable addition” to the team through his collaboration with customers and brokers, and engagement with the executive & professional lines team, in order to “deliver seamless, efficient and effective solutions to private and non-profit entities across the US and Canada.”

Tatulli himself was appointed head of executive & professional lines for North America just last week.
