BMS hires boost technological expansion
Independent specialist reinsurance broker BMS Re US has announced two new appointments intended to incorporate actuarial and technological expertise into its business.

Chang Liu has joined the company as director of catastrophe analytics technical development. Most recently, he served as director of catastrophe risk modeling and research at XL Catlin. He’s also held senior roles at ACE, Tokio Marine Technologies and RMS.

Bradley Parent has been named assistant vice president/actuary. Parent previously worked for the Christopher Gross Consulting Group, and brings with him a strong actuarial background.

BMS has also formed a Solutions Group to identify business trends and develop options tailored to clients’ individual needs. The group will be led by Kirk Conrad, the company’s chief strategy officer.

“Our history of investment in technology and highly skilled people, such as Bradley and Chang, coupled with our ability to act quickly, allows BMS to offer the right solutions for our clients,” Conrad said.

“The creation of our Solutions Group and our continued investment in talent and technology will allow BMS to more effectively drive solutions to ensure our clients stay ahead of the curve in this changing landscape,” said Andrew Bustillo, CEO of BMS Re US.'
