CNA has appointed David Haas to the position of senior vice-president, national accounts casualty.

Haas will be responsible for the profitability, growth and strategic direction of the company’s national accounts casualty business. He will report to CNA president and chief operating officer of commercial lines, Kevin Leidwinger.

“David’s proven track record of performance and strong leadership as a CNA branch manager, as well as his prior risk management experience, made him the ideal candidate to lead National Accounts Casualty,” Leidwinger said in a statement.

Haas joined CNA in February 2017 as a branch manager in Florida. At the time he had more than 15 years of underwriting and field management experience. Before joining CNA, he served a variety of roles at AIG, from underwriting to management, over the course of 12 years and received his bachelor of business administration, risk management & insurance from Georgia State University.
