International specialist insurer Hiscox has announced the appointment of Riki Nieman as senior vice president and West Coast regional executive in the US.
In her new role, Nieman will report to Sarah Bourdeau, head of distribution for Hiscox USA.
Nieman has more than 20 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Hiscox, she led western region sales and distribution at Everest Insurance and headed up the Los Angeles branch of CNA Insurance for more than eight years.

“Riki is joining Hiscox USA’s West Coast team at an exciting time, Bourdeau said. “She will be focused on strengthening our broker relationships in the region and ensuring we are delivering on our value proposition. She is a dynamic and motivational leader, as well as a dedicated partner to brokers, and we’re thrilled that Riki is bringing her innovative and inclusive leadership practices to the Hiscox team.”
Hiscox recently announced that chair Robert Childs would retire this year after 37 years with the company.
