The Insurance Marketing & Communications Association (IMCA) has named Megan Flanagan (pictured) as its new executive director.

Flanagan succeeds Gloria Grove, who retires after serving IMCA for six years.

As executive director, Flanagan will lead the executive aspects of the 96-year-old association, such as financial management, strategic planning, board and executive committee development, conference planning, as well as member and committee communications.

Flanagan has over 15 years of nonprofit management experience. She has worked for the likes of the Institute of Real Estate Management Minnesota Chapter, and the City Center Partnership in Mankato, MN.

“We’re grateful to Gloria for her leadership over the past six years, and we look forward to working with Megan on strengthening IMCA’s initiatives and continuing to provide top-quality professional development, information and connections for insurance marketing and communications professionals,” commented IMCA board president Emily Hathcoat.

Earlier this month, IMCA held an event which recognized top talent within the insurance marketing and communications segment. Four professionals were recognized for the contributions, exemplary achievements, and leadership.
