Senior leadership moves continue across the global insurance and benefits market, with major carriers and brokerages adding specialist talent in key growth areas.

Recent appointments at Zurich Insurance Group, Sagicor Life Insurance Company and Patriot Growth Insurance Services highlight how insurers and intermediaries are strengthening construction, life and annuities, as well as employee benefits capabilities to support strategic expansion and client demand.

Zurich names head of international construction

Zurich Insurance Group has appointed Patrick McBride (pictured, left) as head of international construction, a newly created role within its Global Specialty Construction & Surety team. The appointment is effective immediately.

McBride will relocate to London and report to Kelly Kinzer, global head of construction & surety. The role is designed to coordinate and grow Zurich’s construction portfolio across international markets, aligning underwriting strategy, product development and client engagement in large and complex project risks.

Since 2021, McBride has led the construction property team in the US, working with construction industry customers and spearheading initiatives such as Data Center Project Guard, which Zurich describes as a first-of-its-kind offering aimed at closing coverage gaps, simplifying complexity and enhancing risk management for data center construction projects.

He previously served as Willis Towers Watson’s middle market broking leader for the Mid-Atlantic region, overseeing all lines and industries in the middle market space. In his earlier tenure at Zurich from 2010 to 2016, McBride held a series of underwriting roles of increasing responsibility within the construction property team, having started his career in Zurich U.S.’s underwriting training program.

Sagicor Life appoints Sandberg as US president

Sagicor Life Insurance Company has appointed Eric Sandberg (pictured, center) as president.

He will work closely with the company’s leadership team to maintain alignment on strategic priorities and support disciplined execution as the business scales in the US market.

Sandberg brings experience across risk, actuarial, pricing, asset-liability management, finance and annuities, coupled with what Sagicor describes as a commercial mindset to drive scalable growth.

Most recently, he served as chief financial officer and chief risk officer at National Life Group, a life insurance and annuity provider operating in all 50 states with more than $66 billion of total assets, where he oversaw financial management and enterprise risk. He has also worked closely with rating agencies and regulators and has experience supporting product innovation.

Patriot promotes Feigenbaum to national EB practice leader

Patriot Growth Insurance Services has promoted Greg Feigenbaum (pictured, right) to vice president, national employee benefits practice leader, as the brokerage looks to further coordinate and scale its benefits capabilities across the US.

Feigenbaum, an employee benefits executive with more than two decades of experience across the carrier, general agency and broker channels, will lead Patriot’s national employee benefits strategy. His remit includes driving growth, strengthening collaboration across Patriot’s partner agencies and advancing solutions for employers managing an increasingly complex benefits and healthcare cost landscape.

Since joining Patriot in 2025, Feigenbaum has served as regional vice president of employee benefits for the Northeast, overseeing employee benefits agencies across the region. His leadership has focused on operational excellence, sales strategy, technology adoption, talent development and cross-agency collaboration.

Prior to Patriot, he spent more than 13 years on the advisory side of the industry with leading employee benefits consulting firms, developing and implementing benefits strategies for employers across a range of sectors and sizes.
