Markel has unveiled a new risk management tool for small-to-medium-sized businesses, which helps them gauge their cyber-readiness.
The new WhiteHaX tool is a testing and reporting system that allows users to simulate cyber security breaches and assesses the readiness of deployed security infrastructure and software, a release said. The cloud-based WhiteHaX has been developed by start-up IronSDN.
“We are excited to partner with Markel to offer WhiteHaX cyber-readiness verification services to Markel’s cyber-insured businesses,” commented IronSDN CEO Vimal Vaidya.
Vaidya added that WhiteHaX does not need to be installed and can be used in under 15 minutes to quickly identify weaknesses in security controls and products.
“The key to differentiating a cyber product offering is to include relevant risk prevention and defense tools,” said Markel cyber liability managing director Kara Owens. “WhiteHaX is exciting because we can help our customers identify vulnerabilities and take necessary actions. This is a rare win-win opportunity.”
