“We have worked diligently to design an innovative, relaxed and pet-friendly workspace that will meet the needs of our growing business and represent the fun culture PetFirst is known for,” said CEO Katie Blakeley. “While PetFirst is a national company, we are excited to invest locally in Indiana.”

PetFirst moved into its current facility in Jeffersonville, Ind., in 2008. Despite a 2010 expansion, the company has outgrown the space. The new facility will offer an open environment and work-life amenities such as a lounge and a café, according to PetFirst.

“The time is right for us to increase our office space and invest further in our collaborative culture,” Blakeley said.
Founded in 2004 with just two employees, PetFirst now employs more than 50 people. Its growth is emblematic of the overall growth of the pet insurance space, which is on track to exceed $1 billion in premium this year.
