TrueNorth acquires Gateway Insurance Services

Gateway Insurance Services has been acquired by TrueNorth Companies and will be adopting the TrueNorth name and brand to expand the firm’s presence in central Iowa, the companies have announced.

Gateway Insurance has locations in Ames and Iowa Falls, Iowa, and has provided insurance products to the region for nearly 35 years.

“TrueNorth and Gateway share very similar values,” said John Langeland, founder and president of Gateway. “Together, we will work to enrich the client experience while maintaining a strong local presence.”

Langeland will work with TrueNorth risk management specialist Lane Danielsen during the transition, the companies announced.

“Both Ames and Iowa Falls are thriving communities with respected businesses,” Danielsen said. “This is an opportunity for TrueNorth to bring unique and innovative solutions to the area while continuing to uphold John’s firm commitment to service and care. We are confident that our combined efforts will help these businesses grow and achieve success.”

TrueNorth is among the top 50 privately owned brokerage firms in the country, with 14 offices in six states.
