National insurance program manager Distinguished Programs has announced the appointments of Maryann Prestia (pictured) and Mary Genevich. Prestia will serve as vice president program manager for primary programs. Genevich will serve as senior underwriter, property and liability specialist.

In her new role, Prestia will lead the primary lines underwriting team for Distinguished Programs’ historic properties, hospitality and cyber liability programs. She will also assist with future development and product expansion of the company’s real estate and hospitality products. She is based in Virginia.

Genevich’s property expertise will round out Distinguished Programs’ casualty product offerings, the company said. Genevich will also assist with more in-depth product and coverage training for the company’s underwriting and sales teams. She is based in New Jersey.

“Maryann and Mary each bring a wealth of experience to their new roles at Distinguished Programs that will be invaluable as our company continues to grow,” said Brooks Chase, president of Distinguished Specialty, a division of Distinguished Programs. “The addition of these two outstanding insurance professionals is a further investment in our continued expansion of expertise and program specialties demanded of us by our insureds. We welcome them to our team.”

Prior to joining Distinguished Programs, Prestia was vice president of operations for a member-owned program facility that served luxury hotels and resorts. Prior to that, she managed all casualty lines for W.R. Berkley Insurance’s Mid-Atlantic region.

Genevich previously served at Allianz’s MidCorp Global Division.
