VIAA names communication coordinator

By Ryan Smith

Valley Insurance Agency Alliance (VIAA), a network of more than 160 independent insurance agencies in Missouri and Illinois, has announced the promotion of Kaylee Rucker (pictured above) to communication coordinator.

In her new role, Rucker will handle internal and external communication for VIAA members and company partners. She will coordinate conferences, trade shows and education opportunities and assist with VIAA’s marketing efforts and monthly newsletter.

Prior to taking the role, Rucker served as an administrative assistant for VIAA’s sister company, Powers Insurance & Risk Management. She previously worked in various customer support-related businesses. Rucker holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in criminal justice from Missouri State University.

“Kaylee’s promotion is based upon her excellent work performance and communication skills,” said Henry Powers, co-founder of VIAA. “She will play a huge role in the marketing efforts of our rapidly expanding alliance, and we look forward to all she will accomplish.

VIAA generates more than $600 million in annual written premium and is a regional founding member of the Strategic Insurance Agency Alliance (SIAA), an $11 billion national agency network.

In October, SIAA announced that it had raised nearly $60,000 for cancer charities at a fundraising event held during its semi-annual business meeting in Boston.
