US insurance brokerage consolidation remained active Tuesday as World Insurance Associates LLC, Trucordia, and Inszone Insurance Services each disclosed acquisitions aimed at expanding specialty capabilities and geographic reach.
World Insurance Associates LLC said it acquired the business of Heuring Crop Insurance of Boonville, Indiana, effective November 1, 2025. Terms were not disclosed.
Heuring has operated for more than 25 years and provides federal multi-peril and private crop insurance products to farmers and ranchers across the Midwest and broader US market.
Mike Heuring, owner of Heuring Crop Insurance, said joining World would allow the firm to expand the services and products available to clients while continuing to support farmers facing risks including severe weather and crop damage.
World CEO and co-founder Rich Eknoian said Heuring’s crop insurance expertise would strengthen the brokerage’s specialist offering.
Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla served as legal counsel and MarshBerry advised World on the transaction. Jackson Kelly PLLC provided legal counsel to Heuring.
Trucordia, a top-20 US brokerage, announced the acquisition of the assets of JJL&W Insurance Consulting, an employee benefits brokerage based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Founded in 2020, JJL&W advises employers and individuals on medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits, while also supporting funding strategies, compliance, and administration.
The firm additionally provides behind-the-scenes consulting and servicing support to other local insurance businesses managing benefits books.
Trucordia CEO Felix Morgan said the acquisition adds a team with “a clear focus on relationships over automation,” aligning with the brokerage’s approach to benefits advisory.
JJL&W partner Jeff Joffrion said the deal would allow the firm to retain its service model while gaining broader infrastructure, carrier access, and operational resources.
Inszone Insurance Services also announced the acquisition of Insurance Resources Group, Inc., based in Olathe, Kansas.
Founded in 1996, Insurance Resources Group operates as a full-service general insurance agency serving commercial, personal, and other insurance needs.
Owner Lora Ewbank said the transaction forms part of her succession and retirement planning after 48 years in the insurance industry.
She said Inszone’s platform and market access would provide broader carrier options and resources for clients and staff.
Inszone CEO Chris Walters said the acquisition strengthens the firm’s Kansas presence and adds a team with a versatile, client-focused operating model.
