Now in its 19th year as title sponsor, Travelers also marked a milestone as the longest-tenured sponsor in the tournament’s history. The company stated that over the course of its sponsorship, the Travelers Championship has raised tens of millions of dollars for charitable causes.
Since assuming the title sponsorship in 2007, Travelers has contributed more than $30 million to over 900 nonprofit organizations through the tournament. The steady rise in charitable proceeds continued this year, with 2025’s total exceeding the $3.2 million raised in 2024 and $2.5 million in 2022.
According to the company, this year’s net proceeds will again be donated in full to nonprofit groups, continuing the event’s model of contributing 100% of its earnings to charity. The 2025 primary beneficiary is The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, a Connecticut-based organization that offers camp experiences to children with serious illnesses.
Additional funding will go to organizations focused on areas such as education, housing, mental health, food insecurity, and youth development.
The tournament’s economic impact also remains a central feature of its presence in Connecticut. Analysts estimate that the 2025 edition generated approximately $70 million in local economic activity across Cromwell and surrounding areas.
Spending on hospitality, retail, transportation, and accommodations contributed to the broader financial benefits realized by businesses during tournament week.
Alan Schnitzer (pictured above), chairman and CEO of Travelers, said the event brought together fans, volunteers, partners, and players around a shared purpose.
“It is a formula that led to a great week of golf and more money raised for charity than ever before,” Schnitzer said. “For 19 years, we have been honored to bring the PGA TOUR to Connecticut, and every year I am inspired by the passion of the players, the dedication of our fans and the incredible support from volunteers and partners who rally around our mission to give back.”
Schnitzer also said the tournament contributes to the Connecticut economy and congratulated 2025 champion Keegan Bradley for his performance.
As New England’s only PGA TOUR stop and one of a select group of Signature Events, the Travelers Championship has become a key fixture on the tour calendar. The 2025 tournament featured 28 of the top 30 players in the Official World Golf Ranking.
The 2026 Travelers Championship is scheduled to be held June 22-28 at TPC River Highlands.
