Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers (RSUM), the underwriting division of Ryan Specialty, has announced the launch of Celerity Risk, a new business unit formed from its acquisition of Innovisk Capital Partners in November 2024.

The rebranded unit combines CorRisk Solutions, a US wholesale division of Ryan Financial Lines, and Celerity Pro, which was previously part of Innovisk.

The move creates a comprehensive offering in the financial professional liability sector, available exclusively through wholesale brokers nationwide.

Celerity Risk is structured to address a range of management and professional liability risks, targeting small and middle-market accounts. The consolidation combines CorRisk Solutions’ underwriting expertise and tailored solutions with Celerity Pro’s technology-driven approach and product development capabilities.

The leadership of Celerity Risk will be shared by two experienced insurance professionals: Tom Nash and Carl Pursiano.

Nash who is named co-president and head of professional liability brings over 30 years of experience in professional liability underwriting. As president of CorRisk Solutions, Nash has a history of launching and managing underwriting businesses, in addition to his experience as a lead underwriter for various facilities in the London market.

Pursiano who is named co-president and head of management liability has more than 30 years of experience in underwriting management liability, professional liability and cyber insurance. As the founder and president of Celerity Pro, Pursiano has a strong record of providing technology-based solutions tailored to small and mid-sized businesses.

Celerity Risk will also focus on cyber insurance, offering coverage across a wide array of industries and businesses of all sizes. Simon White will lead the cyber team for Celerity Risk, reporting to Ryan Kratz of the U.S. cyber practice.

“Our goal is to provide brokers with speed and service,” said Jamie Bouloux, CEO of Ryan Financial Lines. “Celerity Risk brings together the strengths of CorRisk and Celerity Pro to ensure brokers and their clients receive market-leading solutions. By combining innovation, technology, and deep underwriting knowledge, we aim to offer an exceptional experience for brokers and clients.”

Backed by A or better (AM Best) financial strength, Celerity Risk provides brokers with the confidence they need to serve clients efficiently and accurately.
