Employers Insurance Company (EMPLOYERS) is now providing workers’ compensation insurance policies in Hawaii.

This expansion marks a significant achievement in the company’s 106-year history, a release said; the company now offers workers’ compensation insurance to small businesses nationally – excluding four monopolistic states.

“We’re excited to provide a competitive workers’ compensation insurance option to small business owners across the country,” said Employers Holdings president and CEO Douglas D. Dirks. “EMPLOYERS started as the Nevada Insurance Fund in 1913 and is now a trusted partner to agents and small business policyholders nationwide.”

Dirks added that both agents and small businesses appreciate EMPLOYERS’ specialized focus and deep expertise in workers’ compensation insurance, as well as the company’s commitment to customer service.

A publicly traded national insurance carrier, EMPLOYERS is a subsidiary of Employers Holdings. Employer Holdings operates in 46 states and the District of Columbia through its various companies, which are all rated “A-“ by A.M. Best Company.
