Commercial property and auto insurer Commonwell Mutual Insurance Group, which caters to the Greater Ontario area, is getting into the holiday spirit with a Christmas tree giveaway for local residents.

In partnership with the Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization, the Commonwell is offering 50 free Christmas trees to area residents who drop off a toy, gift card or cash donation for children aged six to 16.

The event, designed to raise awareness and funds for the local charity, will take place Saturday December 5 from 9:30am until noon in all three of the company’s regional offices parking lots in Lindsay, Alexandria and Perth.

“We’re active in the communities that we serve and this is our way of giving back over the holidays,” said Commonwell Mutual Insurance Group president and CEO Tim Shauf.
