ARAG has just added another team member to its growing operations in Canada.

Nancy Babeu will take on the responsibility of principal broker for ARAG in the province of Quebec, as well as being the driving force of business development in Quebec and Eastern Canada.

This won’t be her first time working in the legal insurance market. Babeu joined the legal expense insurance world about four years ago and spent part of her career at DAS Canada, making her one of only a few specialists in the country in this market space. She also has close to two decades of experience in P&C insurance, ranging from working for insurance companies and brokerages to underwriting and management.

“We are thrilled that Nancy Babeu has joined ARAG Services Corporation,” said ARAG Canada’s CEO Jo-Anne MacDonald. “She brings a wealth of knowledge about the legal expense insurance product, along with 20 years of insurance experience, generally.”

The passions that drive Babeu are business development and building awareness of LEI.  She is fully licensed in commercial and personal lines damage insurance in Quebec and is working on completing both her CRM and CIP designations.

Outside of the office, Babeu has devoted many years as a board member and ombudsman for an underprivileged minor sports association. She is also a part of the Réseau des Femmes d’affaires du Québec.

This new hire is just one step in ARAG’s ongoing development as a legal insurance leader in the country.

“Nancy is joining a very talented group of individuals currently with ARAG Canada – and we are very excited to continue our partnership with the insurance community in order to provide affordable access to justice for every citizen of Canada, regardless of their financial situation,” said MacDonald.
