Atlantic Canada-based Archway Insurance has added another broker to its rapidly expanding team.
The big brokerage has been joined by Bay Insurance & Financial, a local Tantallon-based broker in the heart of the St. Margaret’s Bay Area, Novia Scotia. The deal brings the total number of Archway locations to 23 – covering all of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
“I’ve watched the [Tantallon] community continue to grow in popularity and thrive over the years,” said Archway Insurance president Gina McFetridge. “We’re thrilled to be able to service new and existing clients through the addition of the Bay Insurance location.”
Bay Insurance & Financial’s existing location on the Peggy’s Cove Road will stay open and all employees, including former owner Ron Bagnell and long-time employee Jennifer Jollimore, will be joining the Archway team.
“As I look toward retirement and spending less time at the office, Archway Insurance provides the right transition for our clients and employees,” said Ron Bagnell, president of Bay Insurance & Financial. “I trust they’re in good hands and will continue to receive the same professional insurance advice and service they’ve come to expect over the years.”
Bagnell will take on a commercial consulting role with Archway. He also plans to retain his life and health benefits business.
Over the past decade, Archway has purchased many brokerages across Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. A release issued by the brokerage states it will continue to focus on growth through new business sales and brokerage purchases.
