Chubb has expanded its Global Client Executive (GCE) program for large commercial accounts, subsequently appointing May Ng to a newly created GCE role focused on large account companies in Canada.

In her new role, Ng will focus on further enhancing relationships with existing and potential customers, while supervising the delivery and implementation of Chubb’s coverage, service, and technology solutions within Canada. She will also be in charge of strategic account management, facilitating insureds’ worldwide insurance programs, and developing strategies to improve risk managers’ experiences, a release said.

Ng will be based in Toronto and will report to Chubb major accounts filed operations executive vice-president John Alfieri.

She joins from ESIS Canada, where she served as an assistant vice-president of business development. Ng first joined ESIS Canada as a claims representative in 2013, later holding numerous positions of increasing responsibility.

“We are pleased to be able to continue our investment in Chubb’s Global Client Executive practice by expanding a new role into our Canadian Region. May’s understanding of the needs of our clients in this region makes her an ideal fit for the position,” said Chubb Group senior vice-president and Chubb North America major accounts division president Matt Merna.

Merna added that Ng’s experience leading business development for Chubb’s third-party administrator ESIS “puts her in a great position” to be a single point of access for complex clients and their brokers in Canada.
